24th August 2010 ENGLISH OUT THERE REFRESHES THE PARTS OTHER ENGLISH COURSES CANNOT REACH Hello Right, ok, I know, I have been slack, shoddy and totally lazy over the summer! I haven't written any big newsletters, true, but I have been dribbling bits and bobs out (sending small pieces of information) that I thought might interest you. Watch me read this newsletter on Youtube, click here or on the image below: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GIrDfoBXudw Some good stuff is happening with EOT, so here we go...and we can shout this loud and clear now because we have the PROOF. EOT helps Chinese adult beginner to speak at intermediate level after just 18 hours - listen to the audio evidence English teacher in China explains why EOT is so good - listen to this independent and respected podcast Join our LinkedIn discussion, 'Is ELT honest?' - tell the Teaching English group run by us what you think Social Digital Rights Management (DRM) makes EOT more flexible than other courses SPECIAL OFFER 25% OFF (see coupons below) Have I sent this out before? Oh, sorry! Well it is amazing and incredible and proves that EOT works better than any other course you could care to mention...unlike every other English course provider in the world we have recorded our students' progress from start to finish and published it online. No other English course provider has audio before and after case studies like these. If you haven't already do please have a listen to Jane, 27, Chinese. You will be astonished, just like Professor Stephen Krashen was when he listened and left a comment. It is now on the EnglishOutThere.com homepage: http://www.englishoutthere.com/ It's a very Chinese newsletter this week, because following on from helping Jane to speak English comfortably in an incredibly short period of time Anne Fox of the well-known podcast Absolutely Intercultural posted an audio show about English Out There. This one is especially interesting because she interviewed Richard Wood of Verge, a small English school in China. Richard has been using EOT materials with great success and explains why they are so useful for Chinese English learners. Have a listen. http://www.absolutely-intercultural.com/?p=1099 So, what with teaching someone to speak English well in just 18 hours and having our first teacher inside China go on the record and talk about how good EOT really is I thought I would 'open up' a little to my LinkedIn group called Teaching English. I have been having a fairly gruelling private debate (long discussion) about EOT with someone quite well-known to the ELT world and using examples of recent research to back-up my arguments (although I don't know why I'm arguing, I have irrefutable proof). Bolstered by our success and growing reputation I thought I would try to engage the 327 highly experienced professionals in our LinkedIn group with the question 'Is ELT honest or does it need to come clean (tell the truth) about how people learn language?' I know, it is a little provocative but hey, we can shout now can't we? So, four or five days in, only one of the 327 members has left a comment. I wonder why? Join LinkedIn (free) and go and read the research and leave a comment, it's free! Ask yourself, why would no one in the group be interested in how people really learn a language? Oh, and today, an executive from Oxford University Press China asked to join the group. I let him in of course, I love sharing good news. Here's the link to the Teaching English group on LinkedIn: http://www.linkedin.com/groups?mostPopular=&gid=1171007 I feel totally justified in making these comments because I can actually prove EOT works. It's for the rest to take us on and post their before and after audio clips to prove their claims and try to beat us. The best claim I found for an improvement of three levels was about 3 months...and then no proof was provided. Check out my totally truthful course comparison, which includes some very famous names: http://www.englishoutthere.com/categories/compare-english-courses Having spent months and months (I nearly lost the will to live!) trying to find the right course delivery system I think we might have finally found a system that gives you, the learners and teachers, the flexibility and access you need to make the most of our course materials. When you buy an ebook course from us you get a real PDF you can keep. It is a copy of our original and is personalised for you. Unlike other publishers who use heavy digital rights management (DRM) software that restricts the places and ways in which you can use the content you bought from them and can be a right royal pain in the backside (difficult to use and work with), our content is protected psychologically. You can do anything you like with it, upload it into wiziq.com's virtual classroom and teach, put it on your iPad, on your iPhone, on your notebook or on your work PC, basically use it like any other PDF you have but if you share it with someone and they then share it with someone else and then that person posts it on a file sharing service or shares it illegally some other way it will still have your email address and the purchase number on it. So, please don't share your EOT files with other people. People will tell us and we value our content very highly, after all, it can help Chinese English learners, after 16 years of failure using traditional courses and methods, to speak English comfortably in just 18 hours. Here are some 25% OFF COUPONS, copy the coupon and then click on the link to buy an ebook and see your email address in the bottom lefthand corner: Student Self Study 25% off coupon: EOTPROMO08/1 www.englishoutthere.com/self-study-social-media-ebook-english-courses Teacher One to One 25% off coupon: EOTPROMO08/2 www.englishoutthere.com/One-to-One-social-media-ebook-English-courses Teacher Groups 25% off coupon: EOTPROMO08/3 www.englishoutthere.com/Teacher-Delivered-Group-social-media-ebook-English-courses So, there you have it, now you know that you can teach or study using EOT and that it will definitely reach the parts that other English courses cannot reach. The source of that clever slogan was the famous Heineken 1970's beer commercial, which is at the top of this newsletter, but you can also click here to watch it, it is a lot of fun: http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=-421748227345568047&hl=en Cheers Jason http://www.EnglishOutThere.com http://www.Facebook.com/EnglishOutThere blog comments powered by Disqus |
