Hello to everyone Out There

Stephen Krashen has very kindly commented on Jane's 'before and after' 18 hours of EOT case study audio clips .

For those of you who do not know who he is, this a little bit of what Wikipedia says about Stephen Krashen,

"Dr. Krashen has published more than 350 papers and books, contributing to the fields of second language acquisition, bilingual education, and reading.[2] He is credited with introducing various influential concepts and terms in the study of second language acquisition, including the acquisition-learning hypothesis, the input hypothesis, the monitor hypothesis, the affective filter, and the natural order hypothesis.[3]"

This is what he wrote about Jane's improvement using English Out There materials and methods (self-study lesson plans leading to focused Skype speaking practice),

"Remarkable. If we had more description of just what lessons Jane did & other exposure to English, and her own view of what caused the improvement, this would be a major contribution to our knowledge about what works. Thanks for posting this."

Of course I know exactly which lessons Jane used and can easily get all of the other information he mentions. I will post it soon.

Cheers

Jason
