We have been on holiday and then felt a bit ‘off colour' so thought we'd take a rest and keep all of our interesting news to ourselves. Just joking, life at Out There Towers has been extremely busy and this is why: Free Do-It-Yourself German and Spanish Out There podcast lessons with The Guardian New location and language - Czech Out There Press - big article in The Independent newspaper travel section New director We have teamed up with The Guardian newspaper and their great website (biggest newspaper website in the world with 12m visits per month) to create Do-It-Yourself Out There. Free to download beginners Spanish and German (especially for the World Cup) lesson plans in pdf with podcasts for your ipod or mp3 player...these have recordings of real people (yes, people like you!) going out there to speak to locals and use the language they learnt from the lesson plan. So, when you got to Spain and Germany you can download and then get Out There and learn whilst at the same time spreading a little happiness in the world. We wanted to try and make the difference between an Out There course and a conventional course much more obvious, and would like to say thanks to Fraser and Sinead for their ideas, inspiration, words and images, we really love them and have had great feedback so far. For those in the global language travel industry who haven't read the trade press, I'd like to welcome Tony Evans as a director of Languages Out There. Tony has been in this business for years and has finally seen the error of his ways and finally joined a company actually going somewhere! ‘Did they really mean to say that?' - a new feature were we find and display people having communication problems.
