We received this feedback from a new English school in China who are teaching EOT and it contains some useful information for others thinking of using our materials, they said we could make it available to other EOT users:
"Hi there Jason,
Sorry about the long delay in getting back to you, I haven't forgotten but with Christmas, New year and now getting lots of things done before Chinese New Year it's been pretty hectic over the past few months. The good news is that we have some students using the EOT materials and the response is very good. The idea of getting out there is quite alien to most students here who have only experienced classroom based learning. I have been setting the Out There task as homework, encouraging the students to find language partners. For those students who can find partners here, Chinese English speakers or native speakers, I encourage face to face communication, otherwise I encourage using skype or similar platforms. The strong emphasis on practical usage means the course has a different feel to most of the students' previous learning environment.
With regards to branding, it has been decided that in terms of marketing, saying that Language Out There is a new and innovative British designed learning resource has got greater benefit that co-branding. It definitely adds to the mystique! We will use things like English Out There brought to you by Verge, on our promo materials but not alter the materials to include our logo.
I'm not sure if I responded to your request to use my comments but that's no problem because as I've said I'm really happy with the materials and am sure they'll help my student prepare for studying in/living in/visiting an English speaking country.
That's all my news for now but I do have a question for you: What is the set-up for your courses in London? My reason for asking is that some of my student ask about the possibility of going to Britain or US during the summer months to take a language course. Do you have these kinds of summer courses?
Kind regards
Richard

Jason,
Can you give more details on the use of EOT in non-English speaking countries? I´m especially curious about what they´re doing in Madrid, and more specifics on the China group.
Thanks,

Hi Richard
I have just talked to Jason about the EOT approach in connection with the podcast I co-host called Absolutely Intercultural. Would also like some user perspectives. Would you be willing for us to arrange to chat about your experiences in some audio set up that I could record? If yes then we should find a less public space for making the arrangements but I completely understand if you don't want to do this.
